If you still can’t connect, tryConnect using cellular data. If you see “No service” or “Searching,” contact your carrier. If you see a message that says, “Update your billing information,” make sure that your payment method is up to date.

Open the App Store and tap Updates. If there’s an update for Apple News, install it.

Check for updates to iOS, watchOS, or macOS

If you’re using Apple News on an iPhone or iPad, make sure that you have the latest version of iOS. If you’re using Apple News on an Apple Watch, make sure that you have the latest version of watchOS. And if you’re using Apple News on a Mac, make sure that you have the latest version of macOS.

Check for updates to the Apple News app

First, check for updates to the Apple News app. Open the App Store, then tap Updates. If there’s an update for Apple News, install it.

Next, make sure you have the latest software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

If there’s an update available, install it.

Delete and reinstall the Apple News app

If your Apple News app won’t load, first try deleting and reinstalling the app. To do this, find the app on your home screen and press and hold the icon until it wiggles. Tap the “x” in the top left corner of the icon. Once it’s deleted, go to the App Store and download it again.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you can’t refresh or load Apple News, first make sure that your device has a strong Internet connection. Then try these steps:

Restart your device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Drag the slider to turn your device off. After your device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Force quit Apple News: Double-click the Home button, then swipe up on News.

Restart your Mac

If you’re having trouble with Apple News, the first thing you should do is restart your Mac. This can fix a lot of small issues, and it’s always worth trying before taking any further steps.

To restart your Mac, click the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen and select “Restart.” Once your Mac has restarted, try opening Apple News again and see if the issue has been resolved.
